Our nursery team is vocational, highly qualified in childcare and teaching, experienced and fun loving; attending regular training days and courses to expand their knowledge and update their skills. As a day nursery committed to offering an outstanding quality service, we fully support and encourage all levels of training and currently have staff members working towards even higher levels of childcare qualifications. All staff go through rigorous vetting procedures including police checks. Our staff follow robust Induction and continuous monthly individual ‘follow-on’ training plans to ensure Crown’s high standards are continually being met. As Crown’s environment is fully ‘open plan’ all staff and children are always in view of one another; this enhances our safety and security procedures further. Our staff are specifically chosen for the quality, loving care they can offer to all of our children; many of whom have worked at the nursery for many years.
In addition to their essential NVQ3, NVQ4, Early Years Foundation Degree and Early Years BA (hons) degree childcare qualifications, our team hold numerous additional qualifications and additional languages, first aid, health and safety, food hygiene, child protection, special needs and behaviour management, qualifications in nursery management, speech and drama (Royal Academy) and IT degrees.
‘leadership is highly effective and well demonstrated by the use of astute and critical self-evaluation which drives continuous improvement, which since the last inspection is excellent’ (Ofsted)
All staff is dedicated to the improvement and quality of care we offer and, through team work, training and on-going assessment are continuing to achieve high levels of attainment towards the QUILT (Quality Improvement in Learning and Teaching ) ‘investors in children’ quality kite mark of excellence. We are very proud to have been asked by Merton Early Years for the use of photographs of ‘Crown Kindergartens in action’ when training other nurseries in Merton.
We are committed to the ongoing quality of care we can offer each and every child. In addition to the natural care and attention your child receives whilst with us at Crown, we strive to continually develop our enriched learning environment and kitemark schemes, such as QuILT, help us maintain and set standards of good practice that supports, and sometimes go beyond, the National Standards expected by Ofsted.
With the knowledge that Crown Kindergartens is committed in this way, each and every child, our parents and our staff can trust the high standards our nursery is dedicated to.
‘The Manager carries out supervision of her staff and identifies their training needs, which has a clear impact upon the quality of teaching’ (Ofsted)
